Paint Line Laborer

Job Description

The Paint Line Laborer is responsible final visual quality check of products and the loading and unloading of the paint line.

The Paint Line Laborer will:

1) Obtain job assignments and specific instructions from the supervisor.

2) Check the tags of the parts, verifying the correct order number, part number, and color.

3) Recount each lift of parts to see if it matches the quantity on the tag and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.

4) Visually check over each part for defects: welders’ holes, poor or missing welds, dented or bent parts, missing or miss-hit holes, paint job quality problems, etc.

5) Work with a partner when hanging awkward parts, always making sure the part is securely hanging on the paint hook.

6) Count the parts as they come off of the line, and carefully stack in bundles not to damage the paint.

7) Assist in paint booth color changes as instructed by their supervisor.

8) Laborers may have to do light touch painting of parts.

 Note: Paint Line Laborers MUST have steel-toed shoes. All other safety equipment will be provided.
